Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation have released the official trailer for KPop Demon Hunters, an animated musical fantasy film that includes a sneak peek of “Takedown,” a new original song by TWICE members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung.

Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, the film follows K-pop superstars Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo), who lead double lives as demon hunters protecting their fans from supernatural forces. Their greatest challenge arises when they must face a rival boy band — who turn out to be demons in disguise.

Staying true to its musical roots, the animated film will heavily incorporate music, both on screen and in its soundtrack. It will feature songs written and produced by K-pop agency THE BLACK LABEL.

The TWICE trio’s “Takedown” will be one of the tracks featured on the soundtrack, alongside international artists such as EJAE, Audrey Nuna, Kevin Woo, and the Philippines’ very own Lea Salonga.
