Zara Larsson has officially announced the release of her new album, Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, set to feature an all-female lineup of collaborators.
The Swedish hitmaker shared the news of the deluxe version of her latest studio album, Midnight Sun, on April 19, following her recent collaboration with Afropop star Tyla. Larsson had also teased the forthcoming project through cryptic posts on social media.
On April 16, the singer-songwriter posted photos of a vibrantly decorated suitcase filled with colorful travel essentials, captioned, “Packed and ready for my Girls Trip.” Sparking further excitement, she followed up on April 17 with a post of herself holding a map labeled “Girls Trip,” alongside the caption, “Anyone know the way?”
By April 19, Larsson officially confirmed the album by unveiling its cover art, which features her perched atop the trunk of a hot pink car against a pink-and-orange-tinged desert backdrop.
The announcement arrives shortly after her surprise appearance during PinkPantheress‘ Coachella Weekend 2 set, where she performed a new version of her 2025 hit song “Midnight Sun” and hinted at PinkPantheress’ feature on the deluxe project. Speculation around additional collaborators includes Tyla, Demi Lovato, Doechii, and Tate McRae.
The Swedish pop star has maintained strong momentum in recent years, bolstered by her trending songs “Symphony,” “Lush Life,” and “Stateside.”
Released under Epic Records and Sommer House, Midnight Sun: Girls Trip is set to arrive on May 1 and is now available for pre-save on major streaming platforms.
