Earlier this week, Victoria Monét and Usher teamed up for what may be one of the most sensual tracks of 2024 so far, with “S.O.S. (Sex On Sight.)

The track itself channels the irresistible ’90s R&B sound and marks the first official collaboration between the two stars following Monét’s homage to Usher’s and Beyoncé’s iconic 2004 BET Awards performance with Teyana Taylor back in June of this year.

“S.O.S.” arrives just in time to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Monét’s debut album, Jaguar II. Released on Aug. 25, 2023, through Lovett Music and RCA Records, the album featured the breakout hit “On My Mama,” which soared to No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and made its way to No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Monét first teased the release of the newly released single with a cryptic teaser just five days before its release, with fans immediately speculating as to who would be joining the multi-Grammy winner for the track. Upon the reveal, audiences showcased their excitement at the pairing — with some even calling it “a sensual pair made in heaven.”

Monét, who took home Best New Artist, Best R&B Album, and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) at the 2023 Grammys, continues to make waves in the industry. Meanwhile, Usher, fresh off his feature on 4batz’s “act iv: fckin u again (18+),” is currently electrifying audiences on his Past Present Future Tour, showcasing a career-spanning setlist from his 30-year legacy and his latest album, Coming Home, which he paired with his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
