After more than five years, Typecast are finally back with a new song.
On August 16, the Laguna-hailing emo/aternative rock outfit released “Slight” – their newest single, notable for its melodic, hard-hitting instrumentals and intense vocals backed up by an overall dark and haunting atmosphere. They first announced its release last August 12, stating “Are you excited? We know we are!”
“Slight” serves as Typecast’s first release in more than five years, following “Mulat Na Mata” – the band’s first ever Tagalog song – which came out last March 13, 2019.
In other news, the band’s 2004 album The Infatuation Is Always There is set to come out on vinyl for the first time this August. Find out more details about the vinyl release here.
Formed in 1999, Typecast are best known for their tracks “Will You Ever Learn,” “Last Time,” “The Boston Drama,” “Another Minute Until Ten,” and more. Since their inception, they have come out with four studio albums, with the latest being How Your Influence Betrays You, released in 2011.
