Indie musician Toots has just released a brand new single with “LOADED.”

Produced by Angelo Paz and ALYSON‘s Marcus Mababangloob, the newly released track centers on themes like the weighty, if overwhelming nature of adulthood, and the ever-relatable feeling of comparing oneself’s pacing in life to the peers around them — making it fitting for any coming-of-age playlist or film soundtrack. “Do what you want, no one’s gonna get mad,” Toots croons by the song’s bridge, right before the crashing drums bring the track back to its final chorus.

To celebrate the release of the single, Toots also announced its forthcoming single launch event, which will feature guest performances from other bands in the local indie circuit, such as hazylazy, aunt robert, and Good Grades. The gig is scheduled to take place this November 23, 2025 at Abode Space in San Juan from 5 PM onwards, and will also feature a curated DJ set by Tamia.

“It’s been two or so years since I put out my debut EP under my solo moniker, so now I’m putting together a gig to raise funds and record my next musical project! It’s gonna be special,” wrote Toots on his social media platforms regarding the upcoming event. Tickets to the event are priced at Php 500, and are still available for purchase here.

In other related news, earlier this year, Toots — alongside his band Kremesoda — dropped their first studio album, For Years. The album was recognized by Billboard Philippines as one of the Best Albums of 2025 for our mid-year rankings, with praise directed towards the “’60s-laden folk rock and psychedelic pop finish that marks their sonic evolution over the time that has passed by.”
