As they gear up for their tenth-anniversary celebration, The Juans are set to release a brand new single, titled “Pasensyo.”
The highly-anticipated comeback from the four-piece pop-rock band is set to be released tomorrow, January 16, 2025 (Friday), and serves as the first teaser to their brand-new era that commemorates their decade on the scene. “We’re working on a full album that we’re really excited for people to hear,” says Carl Guevarra, lead vocalist and keyboardist. “It’s got that familiar hugot (heartbreak) that everyone loves pero this time, we’re also exploring new themes.”
“Each member is stepping up to take a bigger role in shaping the band’s sound this time. We’re not just sticking to what’s familiar— this time we’re trying mga ibang (other) genres and we’ll push our creative boundaries to bring something fresh sa fans,” adds RJ Cruz, their acoustic guitarist.
But aside from the prospect of new music on the way, the group has also teased their forthcoming tour that is planned across the Philippines and abroad. “We’re looking forward to connecting with Juanistas again,” Guevarra states. Though no further details have been revealed to the public as of yet, Guevera can only describe it as “a year of growth for us and our fans.”
Last 2024, The Juans kept themselves quite busy –– releasing five singles throughout the year. The band released their upbeat single “pwede ba kitang ligawan” earlier on in February, which was followed by “Napagod Na” that released in early April 2024. They also released a collaboration track with P-pop boy group ALAMAT on the track “Gupit,” alongside two other singles “rebound” and “Tama Ka Na” that dropped over the last quarter of the year.
