Look out, Swifties!

Taylor Swift has just announced her twelfth album, titled The Life of a Showgirl. The upcoming record is scheduled to be released this October 3, 2025, on both digital and physical media platforms.

The announcement was first shared on Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, where the pop icon revealed the album’s cover art on the podcast, surprising Jason Kelce as he exclaimed with joy.

Following the release of the full podcast episode, more details of the album’s release were also shared –– including the involvement of songwriter-producers Max Martin and Shellback on the project. Just recently, Swift reacquired her earlier discography, finally owning the original masters to her first six albums — including her self-titled debut, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. As a result of acquiring her original master recordings, she now also has full ownership of every music video, concert film, album artwork, and photography, and unreleased songs from every era of those records.

“To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it,” Swift wrote in a heartfelt letter dedicated to her fans. “To my fans, you know how important this has been to me — so much that I meticulously re-recorded and released 4 of my albums, calling them Taylor’s Version. The passionate support you showed those albums and the success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music. I can’t thank you enough for helping me to reunite with this art that I have dedicated my life to, but have never owned until now.”
