Indie-pop musician TALA has just released her latest single, “Invocation” — marking her first release under independent music label Underdog Music.

The newly released track sees the rising singer-songwriter exploring more ambient soundscapes, trading the usual electronic beats for dreamy guitar strings that envelop listeners from the outset. “I wrote ‘Invocation’ in 20 mins, 2 months after I moved in [my new apartment]. Time flies weirdly!” said TALA about the song on her official social media platforms.

Together with the track’s release on digital and streaming platforms, an accompanying lyric video was also released to her official YouTube channel. Additionally, a live performance video was also dropped all the way back in July, and features guest appearances from Lola Amour members, Raffy Perez, and Tim Cruz. Check it out below:

TALA’s new single “Invocation” follows the release of her other recent singles, which include “Sirena” with Juno Nao, as well as last year’s “bubblebath” with Pikunin and “retribution.”

TALA debuted on the scene with her string of singles “boy” and “bruised” back in 2018, which were included on her self-titled EP, released via Universal Records. She most recently appeared on fellow Underdog Music artist LUMI’s debut album Intimate on the track “Carry – Straight To You,” and also on crwn‘s debut full-length record, Séance, on “Dreaming of You” last year.
