STAYC are back with a brand-new single album.

On October 30, the K-pop girl group — consisiting of Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon, and J — made their latest comeback with the single album …l, featuring the lead song “GPT” as well as the B-side track “Meant To Be.” It serves as the “Bubble” hitmakers’ follow-up to their debut album Metamorphic, which came out last July 1, and their first single release since 2023’s “Teddy Bear.”

…l sees STAYC explore themes of mixed signals and unrequited feelings as it touches on the “growth and vulnerability of young love.” It’s so-called focus track “GPT” cleverly alludes to the generative artificial intelligence (AI) program ChatGPT, drawing parallels between the chatbot and an “unresponsive crush” as two entities that give the most indifferent replies to one’s questions. “…l” or “Dot Dot Dot” itself is a reference to the “typing…” symbol on a messaging screen, serving as “a subtle metaphor for the anticipation and longing that comes with waiting for an unanswered message.”

Alongside the single’s release, the group also premiered an accompanying music video for the nostalgic “GPT,” which sees them navigating a sci-fi-like laboratory with a dreamy forest enclosure. Watch the music video below:

The release of the new single comes ahead of the fourth anniversary of STAYC’s debut this November 12, with the girl group set to open ‘ONLY 4 SWITH’ — a special pop-up store with special edition merchandise that international fans can also avail of. Find out more here.

In addition to this, the six-piece have also announced the forthcoming release of their next album in February 2025, as well as plans of their second world tour, scheduled to kick off in April 2025 in Seoul.
