SB19‘s Pablo is honored by the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP) as one of the organization’s top five composers.
Among the list joining Pablo are legendary OPM names such as Rico Blanco, Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society, Lito Camo, and Vehnee Saturno.
Since the group’s debut in 2018, Pablo has served as the group’s main songwriter, writing over 50 songs for the Kings of P-pop’s music catalog. With this, he has proven himself to be one of P-pop’s premier storytellers, writing the group’s hits such as “Gento,” “Mapa,” which became the soundtrack for the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, And The Breadwinner Is…, and “Nyebe,” which was featured on Green Bones, an entry of the same festival.
This follows the 1Z Entertainment CEO’s past accolades, like winning Composer of the Year for four straight years at the Village Pipol Choice Awards between 2022 to 2025.
Established in 1965, FILSCAP is responsible for collecting rights and managing public performances, as well as usage across media such as films, radio, and television. They collect royalties from artists both inside and outside the country. Their mission is to provide a “consistent income stream” for its members through creative licensing and more.
