SB19 Honored By Senate For Historic Lollapalooza Performance
The Kings of P-pop are also using their platform to uplift their fellow artists and creatives as they work with Senator Aquino on an upcoming bill.

On September 28, 2026, the Senate of the Philippines adopted a resolution commending P-pop phenomenon SB19 for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the Philippine creative industry.
Authored and sponsored by Senator Bam Aquino, Senate Resolution No. 545, in recognition of SB19’s historic performance at Lollapalooza 2026, was unanimously approved. The five-member group were in attendance during the plenary session on Monday to receive the said resolution.
“Through their artistry, professionalism, and unwavering pride in their Filipino identity, SB19 has become an inspiring example of how Filipino artists can serve as cultural ambassadors, promoting Philippine culture and fostering greater appreciation for the Philippines among audiences around the world,” the resolution read.
Last July 31, 2026 (PHT), Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin made history as the first Filipino group to grace the annual music festival in Chicago, performing on the Allianz stage before an international audience. Their set included “DAM,” “GENTO,” “MAPA,” “VISA,” “DUNGKA!,” and their newly released song “LAWLESS.”
“On every stage they grace, they carry their Filipino identity with them. They did not have to abandon who they are to gain global acceptance; instead, it is precisely that identity that they proudly showcase,” Aquino explained.

In response, SB19 expressed their gratitude on social media, writing: “We’re deeply grateful to be part of this conversation and to everyone working toward a future where more Filipino creatives can dream, create, and take their work beyond our borders. Maraming salamat po!”
Making way for further opportunities to highlight the country’s creative sectors, Aquino has announced that he is working with SB19 and their management company, 1Z Entertainment, on proposing a bill to protect and promote Filipino artists and creatives.
