SB19 member PABLO has released his highly anticipated new single, “USAD,” marking his first official solo music release since 2024.
Released on July 17, 2026, the motivational anthem reflects the struggles of moving forward even when progress feels out of reach. The single arrives ahead of his sold-out solo show, the Middle, happening on July 17, 2026 (5PM PHT) at the Crossroads Center in Quezon City.
First announced on July 1, 2026, PABLO revealed both the song title and release date while unveiling details of his first-ever solo showcase. Tickets went on sale on July 9, 2026 and sold out immediately. Prior to the single release, the SB19 leader teased the track during a surprise busking session in Bonifacio Global City, where he also performed covers of Skusta Clee‘s “Kalimutan Ka” and Justin Bieber‘s “That Should Be Me,” as well as his own track, “Puyat.”
“USAD” explores themes of resilience, self-doubt, and the wins that come with perseverance. Produced and composed by PABLO, with mixing and mastering by Emil Dela Rosa, the track blends smooth R&B with funky, synth-drive production and gospel choir harmonies that elevate its hopeful message while showcasing the singer-songwriter’s emotive vocals.
Speaking about the song, PABLO described “USAD” as the “first single of the middle child,” explaining that it represents a new creative direction for his solo career, “Talagang naglaan ako ng oras para hanapin kung anong sound yung gusto kong gawin at kung anong klaseng music yung gusto kong i-own. Nabuo yung USAD during a time na feeling ko ang dami kong ginagawa pero parang wala namang progress, walang usad. I think marami rin satin ‘yung nakaka-experience nito. Yung kahit busy ka, napapaisip ka pa rin kung may nangyayari ba talaga.”
(“I really took the time to find the sound I wanted to create and the kind of music I wanted to make my own. ‘usad’ came together during a period when I felt like I was doing so much, yet there was no progress. I think a lot of us go through that. Where, even though you’re busy, you still wonder if anything is actually happening.”)
Alongside the release, the 31-year-old artist shared a heartfelt message on social media about feeling stuck despite constant effort, encouraging listeners to trust that growth often happens behind the scenes.
“Kaya kung pakiramdam mo wala kang usad, baka di lang talaga siya nakikita ngayon. Di man natin maintindihan lahat, gusto ko maniwala na may dahilan bawat paghihintay tsaka pagod. Darating din yung panahon na maiintindihan mo kung bakit kailangan mong pagdaanan lahat ng to.”
(“So, if you feel like you aren’t making any progress, it might just be that you can’t see it right now. Even if we don’t understand everything, I want to believe there is a reason for every moment of waiting and exhaustion. The time will come when you’ll understand why you had to go through all of this.”)
“USAD” serves as the follow-up to PABLO’s solo albums, ALON and LAON, which both dropped in September 2024.
