The “Kalakal” fever is still going strong.

Both SB19 and Gloc-9 have just released the performance video to their collaboration single “Kalakal,” which sees both artists holding their ground in a one-take music video that is as empowering as it is impressive. Although the track was first released earlier this August, the newly released visualizer places an emphasis on both parties’ unshakeable confidence that’s challenging to replicate. Gloc-9 demonstrates his signature swagger for this new chapter of his career, while the Kings of P-pop continue to keep doing what they do best — to perform.

Together with its initial release, SB19 dropped the official music video to the P-pop rap track, which serves as a fresh addition to their discography. As they astound both old and new listeners with their rap proficiency, SB19 is bringing back the furious sound of FlipTop-reminiscent Pinoy rap into the flourishing genre of P-pop. With blazing trap beats and fierce rhymes, the song is a war cry of the group’s determination and demand for their place amongst the best of today’s OPM artists.

Just recently, the P-pop group won Artist of the Year at the 2024 MYX Music Awards, while Gloc-9 was honored as the MYX Magna Awardee at the ceremony. Members Josh, Justin, and Ken (as FELIP) won ‘Video of the Year’ in their respective genres (R&B for “Yoko Na” feat. Al James, Mellow for “Surreal,” and Rock for “Fake Faces”), while Pablo won Collaboration of the Year for his track “Determinado” featuring his brother, Josue. SB19 also won at Brazil’s Breaktudo Awards 2024, taking home the prize for Best International Male Group.
