Sarah Geronimo has finally dropped her first-ever collaboration with SB19, titled “Umaaligid.”
“Umaaligid” marks the first music release of Geronimo under her newly established independent music label, G Music. The musical icon takes on the role as the label’s President and Creative Director, while her husband Matteo Gudicelli serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With her role at G Music, Geronimo embraces her creative nature to serve as the driving force for the label’s artistic direction, as she champions creative freedom and purpose-driven music.
Beyond its status as a high-energy pop anthem, “Umaaligid” serves as a powerful commentary on the prevalence of disinformation, fake news, and mass manipulation –– utilizing its production and dynamic vocal interplay to allow Geronimo’s powerful vocals and SB19’s rap prowess to craft an impactful listening experience. In addition to the track’s release, both an extended version and an accompanying music film starring the “Tala” hitmaker and the Kings of P-pop were also shared online.

The groundbreaking collaboration was officially announced on Geronimo’s official social media platforms, with her post sharing the forthcoming track’s release date of July 30, 2025. “Inuukit sa pandinig, isinisingit sa isip. Dumarami, tumitindi. Pero kailan naging totoo?” she teased on her post, clueing die-hard fans and casual audiences alike with the lyrics of the single.
The beloved pop icon has been teasing the release of new music material over the past few weeks, dropping several cryptic teasers, which have led fans to speculate that new music from her may be on the way. However, news of her collaboration with SB19 marks a much welcome surprise for fans of both parties, as it brings together pop royalties on one single track.
The track also marks Geronimo’s latest major musical release since her single “Life’s A Beautiful Game” from last year, as well as her string of 2023 collaborations, such as “Treading Water” featuring Bamboo, “Hangganan” with Jin Chan, and “My Mind” featuring Billy Crawford. Most recently, Geronimo was a guest of honor at Billboard Philippines‘ second Women In Music celebration earlier this year, having honored the Nation’s girl group BINI with the ‘Women of the Year’ award — an honor that was bestowed upon her last year during the inaugural Women in Music event in the Philippines.
