SM Entertainment’s Red Velvet announced the release of their third album What A Chill Kill, due November 16 at 6PM KST.

The group made the announcement at midnight on their social media accounts, releasing a teaser image of the album’s visuals together with the release details.

The teaser image showcases a more ominous set of elements, with everything presented in a dimly lit room. Highlighted in the poster are a bonsai plant with pink leaves, a disembodied hand, a sole zebra-print heel, and silver figures of a butterfly, a crescent moon, a rising sun, and a star, amidst other items presented. Such visuals showcase a stark difference in comparison to the candy-coated visuals that fans are used to seeing from the group.

What A Chill Kill marks Red Velvet’s first full-length album since 2017’s Perfect Velvet, and stands as their first comeback nearly a year after dropping their last mini-album The ReVe Festival 2022 – Birthday last November.

Pre-orders for the record are set to open today, with more details expected to be announced from their social media and label very soon.
