Ringing in the year for fans of all things K-Culture, the end of 2024 saw the largest and longest-running K-Pop fan gathering in the Philippines.

Last December 29, the annual Philippine K-Pop Convention was hosted at the Space in One Ayala, Makati City. For all its visitors and attendees, it was a jam-packed day of music, dance, and all things Hallyu. Bringing in their vibrant performances to decorate the event with a P-Pop flair were up-and-coming artists; KAIA, New:ID, 6ENSE, 1st.One, BILIB, and pix!e. Pairing with their performances, as well, was a meet-and-greet event where fans got to take photos with their favorite P-Pop idols and biases.

In an official press release, the 12th K-Pop Convention President, Jay Juan, shared his anticipation for the event, “We’re excited to bring together K-Pop fans from all over the country again to celebrate their shared love for K-Pop.”

The convention was home to many booths for numerous K-Pop fan clubs, as well as artists selling one-of-a-kind merchandise and memorabilia. Exciting contests, as well, were held for best K-Pop Kosplay, K-Pop Dance Battle, K-Pop Singing Star, and K-Pop Idol Look-alike where one could win prizes ranging from cash to LG XBOOM Speakers, and CNA Gift Passes.

Using this platform as a means of giving back, as well, proceeds from the 2024 Philippine K-Con were donated to its partner charities, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society and The Hapag Movement.
