Novocrane are set to make an appearance at Japan’s Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2027, taking place in Koza, Okinawa, from January 22 to 24, 2027.

Announced in the festival’s second lineup of musical acts, the Filipino band will join artists from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Mongolia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, France, Italy, Belgium, and Norway.

Their 2027 Japan appearance follows their performance in Bali, Indonesia, last August during this year’s Axean Festival, where the group was accompanied by fellow Filipino acts ALYSON, PLAYERTWO, and GEE EXCLSV.

With their upcoming participation in the Japanese festival, Novocrane will be the latest selection of Filipino acts previously invited. Past homegrown acts that have participated in the festival include ONE CLICK STRAIGHT and The Sundown earlier this year, Barbie Almalbis and Vincent Eco in 2025, and many others in the years prior.

Entering its 2027 edition, the Music Lane Festival Okinawa is an international music festival launched with the goal of fostering relationships with artists from around the world. With its networking program, Trans Asia Music Meeting, the festival acts as a hybrid conference and showcase event, hosting meetings between artists and music industry insiders alongside live performances.

In 2025, the festival also added a “songwriting camp” where foreign artists are given the chance to collaborate with Japanese creators to produce music. The segment allows overseas artists to break into the Japanese market, with works released under the Music Lane label.
