Fifth Harmony’s Normani has finally announced the release of her long-awaited debut album, titled Dopamine.
The highly-anticipated record was first teased all the way back in 2018, wherein the American singer posted on X (then Twitter) “I finally have my album title y’all”. Since then, she has only released seven singles as a solo artist, including several collaborations with artists like Sam Smith, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Khalid among others. To mark the official announcement of the forthcoming album, the pop star cleared out her Instagram feed and reposted her viral post on X, adding the album’s pre-save link wheresthedamnalbum.com.
Upon posting the official album cover on her social media accounts, Normani wrote “cryingg typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM.” Her former Fifth Harmony bandmates, such as Lauren Jauregui made sure to show their love for the artwork’s reveal, commenting “Let’s gooooo” while the official accounts of Spotify, Halle Berry, Isabela Merced, Doechii, and Denise Rosenthal also shared their support. The announcement of the album follows six months after the 27-year-old artist signed under Good World Management and Q10 after parting ways with her previous management S10 Entertainment, where they split last May 2023. Though no official release date of the album has been revealed, the rapidly changing date counter on her official website states that the record will be released in 2024.
