Today (August 29, 2025), hit-making Filipino rock band NOBITA and pop rock royalty Yeng Constantino teamed up to release their latest single entitled “Gayuma.” Debuted under Sony Music Entertainment, the track incorporates NOBITA’s emotionally-charged alternative pop/rock sound with Yeng Constantino’s powerful voice to create an emotive anthem about falling in love.
In an official press release, NOBITA shares their sentiment behind the song, “The lyrics capture the uncertainty—whether what you feel is genuine love or just something that seems magical, almost like a spell. It reflects the theme of secret love because it’s about holding back, wondering if the other person feels the same way, and hoping the emotions are mutual.”
On a similar note, Yeng describes her experience working on the song: “The whole session, I was tapping into the emotion of falling in love,” she reveals. “But once you immerse yourself in that space, you realize it’s hard to control your feelings. That energy guided our process, helping us refine the lyrics and capture the material’s vulnerability.”
This follows NOBITA’s recent collaborative piece with local rap hitmaker Flow G titled “PNYT,” which was released last February 7. In an exclusive interview previously conducted by Billboard Philippines, the band’s lead guitarist shared that one of their dream collaborations would be with Yeng – read more about it here.
For Yeng Constantino, this would be her most recent release following her collaborative piece with Filipino rappers Nik Makino and MC Einstein, “Mahal Kita.” As an open declaration of love, the track combines sounds of R&B, hip-hop, and pop for an overall laidback mood.
