This coming September 8, NCT’s all-rounder Haechan (alternatively known as Lee Dong-hyeok) is set to make his debut as a solo artist with the album TASTE. In the group’s post teasing the upcoming full-length feature, the official NCT Twitter account wrote, “Mild air and lazy light, dizzy with the taste of Fullsun (which is a direct translation of Haechan’s name).”
This would mark the latest member of NCT to make their solo debut following lead rapper Mark’s first album, The Firstfruit, which was released last April. On The Firstfruit as well, Haechan shares the ninth track with Mark on “+82 Pressin’.” As of this writing, NCT members Doyoung, Yuta, Ten, Jaehyun, Mark, and Taeyong have come out with their solo albums, as fans anticipate more solo releases.
This follows his latest work on NCT Dream’s most recent comeback album, Go Back To The Future, which was released on July 14, 2025. With the lead track “CHILLER,” members Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung, and Haechan explore a dreamy, futuristic pop sound.
Haechan made his debut under NCT 127 with the track “Firetruck” in July 2016. Since then, he also debuted in the NCT Dream and NCT U sub-units and worked on collaborative pieces with his fellow NCT members.
