2024 Spotify RADAR Philippines Artist of the Year and Billboard Philippines Discover artist mrld is set to release a new single entitled “Lihim” this February 23.
The new single serves as mrld’s first solo release after her single “The Fate of The One Not Chosen” which was released on April 28, 2023. Her latest release is the track “sa’yong sa’yo lang ako” which she performs with fellow singer and Billboard Philippines Soundwave‘s guest, rhodessa.
Prior to the release of “Lihim”, mrld shared with her fans, whom she lovingly calls “wrld”, a batch of concept photos as part of the lead up to the single’s release. mrld also previously teased the new song and its release date with a short snippet through a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account last February 5.
This announcement comes after the singer-songwriter celebrated her birthday with a gig at Jess & Pat’s earlier this week.
The rising singer-songwriter is mostly known for her viral hit “An Art Gallery Could Never Be As Unique As You” which she wrote at the age of 14 and has amassed more than 130 million streams on Spotify at the time of writing. She is also known for her other tracks such as “Ligaya” and “Ikaw Pa Rin”; the latter being part of the soundtrack for the movie Will You Be My Ex? starring Julia Barretto and Diego Loyzaga.
