Moira has just made her highly anticipated comeback with I’m Okay.

The twelve-track album features the beloved balladeer at her most candid and confessional, especially as she embarks on a challenging path toward healing. Delving across themes of confusion, angst, and sorrow, it’s an introspective look at the experience of heartbreak, which ultimately results in a therapeutic journey that affects listeners just as much as it did for Moira. Its track listing alone is a well-curated linear experience that transports audiences into the singer-songwriter’s place, yet it still retains the resounding relatability that makes her music speak to millions of listeners worldwide.

Just a few weeks back, the chart-breaking musician first made the announcement of the album’s release on her social media accounts, releasing a video teaser and the album artwork together with a heartfelt caption: “It’s so surreal to be saying this now after 2.5yrs finishing it. There were a lot of plans that changed throughout this whole season, but we had lessons to learn, chapters to close, and now, finally, a new season to embrace.”

“I only have one request as you listen: that you make it your own,” she continues. “Mold it to however way it fits your story. This isn’t my story anymore.”

I’m Okay marks the beloved hitmaker’s latest full-length release, and its first single, “San Ka Na,” is available now on all digital and streaming platforms. The somber track is a deserving entry in Moira’s discography, with credit to the deep-seated emotions and emotional turmoil of its themes resonating deeply with its listeners.

As mentioned to Billboard Philippines in our August cover story, Moira describes making the album as her “way of coping” and “her way of healing.” “In the last two and a half years, I’ve just written my way through and what was supposed to be a seven-track album has now doubled in number,” she mentions.

Talking about her approach to the record, she adds, “I wanted to be really careful with it. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t saying or doing more or less than I should, because I know that I hold that responsibility. I wanted to make sure I’m not bleeding too much, but I also wanted to make sure I was authentic enough. I wanted to make sure I was as honest as I wanted to be.”
