Fresh off the release of her Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special, Miley Cyrus has released a brand new single to coincide with the program, titled “Younger You.”

The newly released track was first announced by the pop icon on her official social media platforms, wherein she stated, “Younger me has loved celebrating 20 years of Hannah Montana with you. This song is yours as a thank you for the life we’ve grown through together. I love you always.” The single was also included as part of Cyrus’ recent Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which saw her revisit the set of the smash-hit television show that launched her career, and also featured guest appearances from her father (and fellow musician) Billy Ray Cyrus, as well as fellow Disney alum Selena Gomez, and pop sensation Chappell Roan.

Together with the release of the track on streaming and digital platforms, Cyrus also dropped a nostalgic music video that stitched together footage of a teenage Cyrus starring in Hannah Montana: The Movie alongside shots of her in the present day — albeit with a few more tattoos, but still rocking the same iconic blonde hair as she drives through familiar roads and carries her memorable pink makeup chest from the film. Additionally, Disney also released the live performance video of the “Flowers” hitmaker’s debut performance of the single from the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special.

Miley Cyrus’ “Younger You” marks her latest musical release since dropping her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful. The avant-garde pop record showcased a brand new side of the pop hitmaker, and was also accompanied by a full-length visual film of the same name. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 upon its release, and was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards, though it lost to Lady Gaga‘s MAYHEM.

In Billboard Philippines‘ review of Cyrus’ Something Beautiful, the album was praised for being “a new artistic peak for the beloved pop sensation”, one that “allowed her to embrace a more stylized and cohesive musical vision that is vastly different from the safer and more confined nature of her other bodies of work,” as it “showcased her at her most hypnotic and daring.”
