Keeping with the Filipino Christmas spirit and the season of giving, MEI MEI have unveiled their festive new single, “Namamasko Po.”
Released on October 9, 2026, the track is composed and executive produced by PULP Live World founder Happee Sy, with arrangements and production by Dominic Benedicto. Anchored in the long-standing Filipino tradition of Christmas caroling, the song invites listeners to embrace the holiday spirit through its light, catchy melodies and the familiar jingling sound of the tambourine.
Alongside the single, the eight-member girl group have also released a colorful lyric video that allows fans to sing along to its playful lyrics, including, “Buksan ang pinto at puso niyo / ‘Wag lang barya, ibuo niyo na / Para mas masaya aming pasko.” The track also puts the group’s own spin on the customary “thank you” tune sung by carolers to express their gratitude after receiving their money or aguinaldo.
“Namamasko Po” continues MEI MEI’s signature Filipino identity and their growing collection of novelty pop tracks. It marks the group’s third single, following their debut release, “Telebong (Hello Po),” and its follow-up, “Alembong.” The latest release also builds anticipation for the rising group’s forthcoming debut EPEPShort for extended play, a collection of songs longer than a single but shorter than a full album, typically containing three to six tracks.
