Maki is back with a new single and the perfect music video for it.
On May 24, the “Saan?” hitmaker unveiled his latest single entitled “Dilaw” [Yellow]. Alongside it, he premiered a colorful music video starring him and BINI member Maloi. In it, the duo play two high schoolers who inexplicably meet and bond over art and adventure, with romance seemingly starting to bloom between the two as Maki’s character slowly brings color, both literally and figuratively, into the life of Maloi’s character.
In its description, the music video is described as one finding their so-called “Dilaw” or “a person who brings joy and optimism into their life” with the color symbolizing “the happiness and positivity this special person brings.” You may watch the music video for it here.
Maki is set to launch “Dilaw this weekend, May 25, at his very own mini-festival dubbed Dilaw Fest in McKinley Whiskey Park. He will be joined by Nameless Kids, Ysanygo, jikamarie, Angela Ken, Janine, as well as Jolianne. Find out how to get tickets here.
“Dilaw” was preceded by Maki’s collaboration track with Nameless Kids and Angela Ken entitled “Sikulo“ as well as his solo single “HBD”.
