Right on the day of British girl group Little Mix‘s hiatus anniversary, member JADE has just announced her debut album as a solo artist, THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!
The long-awaited announcement was shared on JADE’s official social media accounts, revealing the record’s release date of September 12, 2025 alongside more details of what to expect from the pop star and her esteemed list of collaborators, which include Mike Sabath, Lostboy, Cirkut, RAYE, and Pablo Bowman.
“This album has been years in the making, so I’m beyond excited that I can finally let everyone know when it’s coming out,” shared JADE regarding the album’s announcement, “I’m very proud of ‘THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!’ as a body of work and can’t wait to share it with the world. To be able to perform the album live later this year is also a dream come true. See you all on tour!” she continued.
The news comes following months of anticipation, as the British pop soloist has been teasing fans with little details and references regarding the forthcoming record. Over the past year, she has also released a plentiful amount of singles that showcase her musical range, such as “Angel Of My Dreams,” “Fantasy,” “IT Girl,” “Fuck You For Now (FUFN),” and “Midnight Cowboy.”
Earlier this year at the 2025 BRIT Awards, JADE was awarded Best Pop Act — beating the likes of Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lola Young, and Myles Smith. During her acceptance speech at the famed awards show, she expressed her gratitude to her fans, team, and fellow Little Mix members for all their assistance to getting her to this point of her career. “Thank you for making me feel like it was a realistic goal to be a pop star ever since I was a little girl. And finally, my Little Mix sisters. I love you so much. I wouldn’t have this award without you, and you changed my life,” she mentioned.
Little Mix was formed all the way back in 2011 via the eighth season of The X Factor, and remained active as a unit until their official hiatus that began in 2022. They were recognized by Billboard as “one of the biggest girl groups in the world” during the peak of their run in the 2010s, and have accumulated over fifteen billion streams worldwide for their hit singles such as “Black Magic,” “Secret Love Song,” and “Shoutout To My Ex,” among others.
