Just a day before her forthcoming album’s release, Little Mix’s JADE has dropped its final single, titled “Unconditional.”
Produced by Mike Sabath (who also worked on two of her previous singles) and penned by Sabath, R.I. Pablo, and JADE herself, the newly released track takes inspiration from Madonna’s ’80s work and Robyn’s signature melancholic dance-pop sound, with the pop star herself noting its particular blend of “Donna Summer meets MGMT.” True to the track’s title, the song narrates the tale of unconditional love, inspired by her love for her mother who suffers from Lupus, among other conditions. “If only my love could be your medication, I could fix you so much better than your own prescription. If I lose you now, then I lose it all,” JADE sings on the single.
Together with the single’s release, an accompanying visualizer directed by Fa Fon was also shared on JADE’s official YouTube channel and social media platforms. Showcasing a behind-the-scenes look at the pop star’s busy life, filled with constant shoots and time in hair & makeup, while also paying homage to the colorful characters she’s brought to life from her previous music videos. “Unconditional” is the seventh single off THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY!, her highly anticipated debut album as a solo artist, which is scheduled to be released in its entirety tomorrow on September 12, 2025. The record comprises a total of fourteen tracks, including the previous singles “Angel Of My Dreams”, “Midnight Cowboy”, “Fantasy”, “IT Girl”, “Fuck You For Now (FUFN)”, and “Plastic Box” — with each of them bringing a unique set of sounds that makes the forthcoming album’s sonic palette even more interesting.
Just recently, JADE teamed up with the popular K-pop group, LE SSERAFIM, on a special English-language remix of “HOT”, the title track of the latter’s major comeback for the year. Also, earlier this year at the 2025 BRIT Awards, JADE was awarded Best Pop Act — beating the likes of Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Lola Young, and Myles Smith. During her acceptance speech at the famed awards show, she expressed her gratitude to her fans, team, and fellow Little Mix members for all their assistance to getting her to this point of her career. “Thank you for making me feel like it was a realistic goal to be a pop star ever since I was a little girl. And finally, my Little Mix sisters. I love you so much. I wouldn’t have this award without you, and you changed my life,” she mentioned.
Little Mix was formed all the way back in 2011 via the eighth season of The X Factor, and remained active as a unit until their official hiatus that began in 2022. They were recognized by Billboard as “one of the biggest girl groups in the world” during the peak of their run in the 2010s, and have accumulated over fifteen billion streams worldwide for their hit singles such as “Black Magic,” “Secret Love Song,” and “Shoutout To My Ex,” among others.
