Beloved musical icon Kitchie Nadal is set to make her highly-anticipated homecoming in the Philippines with her upcoming solo show, titled ‘SAME GROUND: Kitchie Nadal’s 20th Anniversary Concert’.
The concert is scheduled to take place this June 2, 2024 (Sunday) at the New Frontier Theatre in Cubao, Quezon City, and is set to commemorate Nadal’s expansive career that spans over two decades in the Philippine music industry, and her journey as a trailblazer for women in the alternative and pop music scene who never faltered with their distinctive flair.

‘SAME GROUND’ also marks Nadal’s return to the Philippine concert scene, after moving to Madrid, Spain. For her special showcase this June, Nadal promises special guest appearances from her closest peers in the music scene, stating; “We have a lot of surprises in store for everyone who has supported my work for almost two decades.” “I can’t wait to go back home and celebrate this landmark feat with my friends, family members, and fans”, shares the award-winning musician.
Barbie Almalbis, Aia de Leon, Lougee Basabas, Hannah Romawac, Acel Bisa, and Monty Macalino from Mayonnaise are set to be part of the inaugural lineup of special guests, which the “Bulong” hitmaker describes as a “showstopping collaboration with musicians who also happen to be good friends of mine.” “It doesn’t feel like work at all when you’re surrounded with like-minded individuals who share the same goals in life and career.” Aside from the inclusion of these artists, Nadal will soon announce the final group of guest acts for her 20th-anniversary concert, which is said to include some of the biggest artists of the current generation.
Just recently, Nadal’s landmark self-titled debut album was reissued in a limited edition vinyl format by Backspacer Records in celebration of the record’s 20th anniversary. The special edition pressing was released in a unique colorway of opaque green and black split color vinyl, and features the hit singles “Huwag na Huwag Mong Sasabihin“, “Run“, and “Bulong.“ In late 2022, Nadal performed alongside Barbie Almalbis and fellow vocalists Acel Bisa, Hannah Romawac and Lougee Basabas for a one-night-only performance for the ‘Tanaw’ concert that celebrated the friendship behind these Filipina rock icons.
