On June 16, 2025, the global girl group KATSEYE unveiled new teasers for the music video for their upcoming single entitled “Gabriela.” As of June 20, 2025, the song has been released along with its corresponding music video.
In contrast to the group’s first pre-release single, “Gnarly,” “Gabriela” is a fresh latin pop anthem, with Daniela and Lara singing the bridge entirely in Spanish. Fitting to the track’s concept, the song’s music video takes the form of a late 1990s telenovela where the girls battle it out in a power struggle of becoming the next “Gabriela.”

This follows the recent announcement of the group’s sophomore EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, where they wrote a heartfelt message in the post’s caption: “We are so excited to invite you into this beautiful and chaotic world that we have built. Thank you for being here.” BEAUTIFUL CHAOS follows the 2024 release of KATSEYE’s debut EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), which spawned the viral hit singles “Touch” and “Debut.” The extended play is available for pre-order and for pre-save here.
The first single to be released from this record is the smash hit hyper-pop track “Gnarly.” After circulating the internet as a certified hit, the song made its way into the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 (dated May 17, 2025), entering the chart at the No. 25 spot. Additionally, the group has dropped two remixes to the well-loved song, one with viral hit-making rapper Ice Spice, and another with Lancey Foux and Slush Puppy.
