KAIA are raising the flag of P-pop in Laos next month.

On October 2, the “Dalawa” hitmakers announced that they will be part of the ASEAN-Korea Music Festival 2024 ROUND — or simply, ROUND Festival — in Laos this November 2 to 3.

Described as a “music network connecting ASEAN and Korea,” ROUND Festival was established in 2020 in order to “promote exchanges between Korea and ASEAN countries by utilizing popular music.” According to their website, the festival’s mission is to “connect the hearts and minds of music lovers with the emotions, joy, memories and everything that can be delivered through music,” with the “hope that people who are alienated from borders, language, culture, and customs will reconnect again, recognize and understand, and look closer to each other equally as music fans.”

Joining KAIA in Laos next month are a roster of artists from all over Southeast Asia as well as South Korea. Namely, this includes Rizal Rasid (Brunei), Chet Kanhchna (Cambodia), Nogei (Indonesia), Masdo (Malaysia), Bunny Phyoe (Myanmar), Nell (South Korea), Black Eyes (Laos), Taiy Akard (Laos), Club Mild (Singapore), Dept (Thailand), and Tien Tien (Vietnam). The festival is set to be hosted by GOT7’s Bambam.

At the time of writing, KAIA are the sole representatives of the Philippines at the event. Tickets to the event will be available starting this October 4 (Friday) at 2:00 PM PHT here.

Earlier this year in July, ROUND Festival held an iteration of the event in Busan, South Korea at the KBS Busan Hall, with Zack Tabudlo and SB19’s Josh Cullen representing the Philippines.

Meanwhile, KAIA just released their latest single “Walang Biruan” last September 27 – a highly anticipated bubblegum pop track which the members helped co-write and co-produce themselves.

Recently, KAIA’s leader Angela was part of Billboard Philippines‘ P-pop Unite campaign — a series where Billboard Philippines brought together members of today’s biggest groups to show why P-pop shines brighter when united. Together with AJ of G22, she told us about what it truly means leading an up-and-coming P-pop group, sharing the importance of using her voice when guiding her members and utilizing their platform to serve as source of happiness, positivity, and inspiration.

Before heading to Laos, KAIA are set to perform at Billboard Philippines: Mainstage — the one-year anniversary celebration concert of Billboard Philippines. Happening this October 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, they will be joined by the likes of SB19BINISarah GeronimoGary ValencianoG22Regine Velasquez-AlcasidAlamatSandwich, and more.
