KAIA make an explosive and heartfelt comeback with their brand-new single “hulog,” released under Sony Music Entertainment.
Fresh off their viral cover performance of HUNTR/X’s “Takedown,” the P-pop girl group teams up with hitmaker Shadiel Chan for their latest release, which unveils a softer, more mature sound.
Serving as a follow-up or companion of sorts to their fan-favorite 2025 track, “Tanga,” which talks about the things one can do for love, “hulog” offers a lighter and brighter note — one that captures the inescapable kilig and the feeling of falling in love.
The track is built around the question, “Paano ka ba nahulog? (How did you fall in love?),” which invites listeners to relive the innocent and exciting moments of falling in love with the song celebrating romance in its purest form.
“After everything we’ve experienced from our previous releases and the love we received from our fans, we wanted to share a song that shows a more vulnerable and heartfelt side of us,” the five-member girl group shares in the official press release.
“This song is about vulnerability, about allowing ourselves to be open, to take risks, and to embrace the emotions that come with caring deeply about something or someone. We felt that it was the perfect song to mark this new chapter because it reflects our growth not just as artists but also as individuals,” the group adds.
Beyond the song itself, “hulog” assembles some of the most influential names in OPM today. KAIA worked together with Shadiel Chan of Nine Degrees North, the producer behind Cup of Joe’s megahit “Multo,” and Ken Ponce. The lyrics were also penned by R&B singer-songwriter jikamarie, Red Ridao, Ron Pangyarihan, and Chan.
