Janine Berdin has officially announced the release of her highly anticipated debut album, titled LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA.

The long-awaited record is scheduled to be released on September 26, 2025, and will comprise eleven tracks in total. According to an official press release, the album is set to offer “a raw and unfiltered take on the realities of love, heartbreak, and healing, capturing the emotions of being stupidly in love.” Ahead of the full record’s release, Berdin also dropped a brand new single, titled “HAYUP KA,” which further sets the tone with regard to what fans and listeners can expect from the forthcoming record — given its themes of gaslighting and toxic relationships, as well as the liberation that comes with leaving such situations.

“I really write quick because it’s just like words in my head when I’m feeling the thing — it’s like word vomit,” Berdin said regarding the process of bringing the record to life. “The hardest part was bringing it to life and making sure the music that comes with the message fits perfectly. This is my first album after being in the industry for seven years. This album is yours, my music is yours — it’s ours,” she continued.

Aside from “HAYUP KA,” LAB SONGS NG MGA TANGA will include several of Berdin’s buzzworthy singles, including the viral hit from 2023, “SITWASYONSHIP,” her track “Pamamaalam,” as well as several of her singles from this year, “Ayos Lang” and “tayo lang (may alam)” feat. Illest Morena and Fana. The latter was also released with an accompanying music video, which sparked waves online and has already accumulated over a million views in just one month since its release.
