After a four-year-long hiatus, Jake Zyrus is set to release his upcoming sophomore album entitled Roots this November 21. Fitting to its title, the record includes songs he previously released under the moniker Charice, and involves a special feature by the singer-songwriter’s partner, Cheesa. In his announcement of the record, he wrote, “Favorites. Nostalgia. Old shadows, new skin.”

Check out the full track list of Roots below:

  1. “Reset”
  2. “Nobody’s Singing To Me”
  3. “Wherever You Are (Feat. Cheesa)”
  4. “Yakap”
  5. “Lighthouse”
  6. “Pyramid”

In a caption written by Zyrus on Facebook, he explained his process of re-recording “Nobody’s Singing To Me,” “Out of all the songs I’ve recorded, this one has always stayed with me. I’ve always loved its melody, and this time, I wanted it to finally sound the way it always did in my head. It might not have been one of the most known songs, but for me, it’s always been near the top.”

As previously mentioned, this would be Jake Zyrus’ most recent major musical drop in four years, following the release of “Fix Me” under ABS-CBN Film Productions on May 7, 2021.
