IV Of Spades have once again dropped another surprise single, with the latest track aptly titled “Nanaman.”

The surprise release came exactly at midnight on August 13, 2025 (Wednesday), and showcases a more upbeat, funk-driven style that is more attuned to their earlier discography. Its lyricism perfectly captures the internal dilemma of falling in love, particularly losing one’s sanity again through the process. To complement the whirlwind set of emotions foretold by its narrative, its sonic identity captures the erratic excitement of the process — though added with a newfound polished nature and sheen to the track, which is predominantly evident in the instrumental bridge towards the track’s completion.

Unlike the more dramatic (and meaningful) cover artwork of “Aura,” the single’s cover artwork features a simple photograph of a lone bicycle, sparking online reactions that play into the band lore (and inside joke), noting how drummer Badjao’s lost bicycle has finally been found. Together with the track’s release, an accompanying music video directed by Kris Cazin was also posted to the group’s YouTube channel, which can be viewed in its entirety below:

“Nanaman” was produced by Brian Lotho and features songwriting credits from lead guitarist Blaster Silonga alongside the rest of the band, and marks the follow-up single to their comeback release “Aura.” The latter marked the band’s first release since “Sariling Multo (Sa Panaginip),” which came out on April 17, 2020, and their first to include vocalist and guitarist Unique Salonga, who had previously departed the band in 2018.

Due to the surprise nature of the track, “Aura” and the band’s surprise reunion took the internet by storm upon the track’s release, allowing for an impressive debut on the Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 chart at No. 28 with only two days of chart tracking data. In its second week, “Aura” soared even further up the local charts, reaching a peak position of No. 4 on the Philippines Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Top Philippine Songs chart.

Just recently, IV Of Spades performed “Aura” live for the first time ever on GMA‘s All-Out Sundays television program earlier this week (August 10), giving fans and audiences alike a long-awaited live display of their camaraderie and sonic chemistry.
