The Andalucia era is alive and kicking. IV OF SPADES have released the music video for “Monster.”
Directed by Kris Cazin, the video features the four-piece indie-alternative band returning to basics as they perform the track inside a recording studio. Each member is dressed in their own distinct style: Zild Benitez sporting a leather jacket, Blaster Silonga rocking a blazer, Unique Salonga in a long-sleeved polo, and Badjao de Castro looking formal with a bike helmet on top.
“Monster” is the focus track from Andalucia, the band’s sophomore record. The 12-track album, co-produced with Brian Lotho and Emil Dela Rosa, was released on November 5, 2025, under Sony Music Philippines.
“Now, we’re going ’round and ’round / You gotta deal with your monster / We are nowhere to be found / You gotta deal with your monster,” Blaster and Zild sing in the chorus.
More than just an album, the record reflects the band’s growth, creative rebirth, and newfound unity — finally coming together as one after Unique left the group in 2018. It also explores flaws, relationships, and conversations they had often avoided in the past.
The track also seems to harken back to their early beginnings with the bridge sung by Unique and Zild, “We are the future, not the seventies.” Nearly a decade ago, the band broke into the local music scene with their heavy ’70s-inspired releases “Hey Barbara” and “Where Have You Been, My Disco?”
The band will perform “Monster,” along with songs from the latest album, at their two sold-out shows on December 12 and 13, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
