Yesterday (October 15, 2025), MAMAMOO member and hit-making K-pop soloist Hwasa released her latest single, a somber piece titled “Good Goodbye,” under P NATION. She also debuted an additional version of the song, which is purely an orchestral rendition of the track by the South Korean string quartet Duomo.

Furthermore, the idol premiered a music video for the track on her official YouTube channel. The track follows an ’80s reminiscent synth pop beat, and speaks about themes of a breakup that ends on mutual (and somewhat beneficial) terms. Check out the music video of “Good Goodbye” below:

This would be Hwasa’s sole music release of the year so far, following her latest single “Star,” which was released in November 2024 and produced by indie K-pop artist LOGOS. Last year, the artist also debuted her sophomore EP, O, which held seven tracks in total.

In an exclusive interview previously conducted by Billboard Philippines, Hwasa shared the inspiration behind her songwriting, “The things that inspire me when I make my music aren’t exactly the most special or extravagant things. Yet because these are the more mundane things I see, it’s where I find beauty and inspiration. Sometimes you can think of these familiar things as boring, but you realize that it’s these things that are also most precious to us.”
