Two years past the release of their debut LP “I NEVER DIE“, K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE have just announced the release of their second full-length album, titled [2].
The five-piece musical act teased the upcoming record with a cryptic eighteen-second video announcement posted on their official social media pages, which featured the group’s signature logo transformed into a stylized number two to fit with the album’s title. Following that, the video concludes by mentioning a release date of January 29, 2024, at 18:00 (KST) for the full-length project.
However, despite the news of an upcoming release, two of the group’s members, Minnie and Shuhua, have announced a temporary hiatus from all future activities recently due to persistent health issues. The schedules of the two have been halted indefinitely, though CUBE Entertainment has assured fans that they will be closely looking after the health of the entire group. Last year, (G)I-DLE released two extended plays (EP) with “I feel“, which was released last May 2023, and an English language one titled “HEAT“, released last October. Their last album “I NEVER DIE” was released all the way back in on March 13, 2022.
