G22 have just released their latest single, titled “Filipina Queen.”

The new single features rap-heavy verses that are as bold as they are empowering. With the track penned by G22’s AJ herself, she and fellow members Jaz and Alfea perfectly nail the powerful aspects of the track –– giving it the signature edge that makes them well-deserving of their title as the ‘Female Alphas of P-pop.’

The beloved P-pop trio first shared the news on their official social media platforms over the weekend, which stated its forthcoming release date of May 30, 2025, together with the first wave of concept photos for the song and a brief, ten-second snippet of the track’s chorus. With a heavy emphasis on the color gold, each concept photo highlights the girl group’s penchant for embracing empowerment as they embrace a new era of their musical careers.

“Filipina Queen” is set to serve as G22’s latest musical release, following their recent comeback with the catchy anthem, “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban,” earlier this March. The single was accompanied by two distinct music videos, one focusing heavily on the performance aspect, and the other with its own unique concept. Revisit the official music video below:

Earlier this year, G22 was selected as one of the acts chosen by Billboard Philippines as part of our ’10 Filipino Artists To Look Out For This 2025′ list,  wherein they were recognized as “one of modern P-pop’s clear-cut rising stars of today,” known for “their stage presence that effortlessly commands attention and inclination for self-empowering lyrical themes.” Given the abundance of musical releases we’re getting from this talented trio, it’s clear that there is a lot in store for G22 as the rest of the year goes by.

Just recently, they were also announced as part of Billboard Philippines‘ P-pop Rising class, alongside fellow prolific P-pop groups like BGYO, Alamat, VXON, KAIA, and GAT.
