G-DRAGON is finally releasing a new album this year.
On February 4, 2025 (Tuesday), the BIGBANG leader surprised fans by announcing that he is set to officially release his third studio album, entitled Übermensch, this February 2025. It serves as the multi-hyphenate’s first full-length release in nearly 12 years, following COUP D’ETAT, which came out in September 2013.
Übermensch is set to come out this February 25, 2025 (Tuesday). Watch the first teaser for it below:
News of G-DRAGON releasing a new album this year was first reported by South Korean media last January. Alongside this, it was also reported that the King of K-pop is set to hold a solo concert this March 2025. This was seemingly confirmed later by BIGBANG bandmate DAESUNG during their other band member TAEYANG’s own solo concert at the Inspire Arena in Incheon last February 1, 2025.
The upcoming show from G-DRAGON will mark his first concert as a solo artist in almost eight years, following the closing shows of his ‘Act III, M.O.T.T.E’ world tour, held in Taipei last October 7-8, 2017.
The release of Übermensch was preceded by two singles from G-Dragon: “POWER,” released last October 31, 2024, and “HOME SWEET HOME” with TAEYANG and DAESUNG, released last November 2024.
