The 2025 Filipino Music Awards just got even more exciting as Ely Buendia, Maki, and BGYO are set to join the lineup of performers.

On September 12, 2025 (Friday), it was announced that Filipino rock icon Ely Buendia, “kahel na langit” hitmaker Maki, and P-pop boy group BGYO will be joining the already star-studded list of performers for the music awards show’s first ever iteration. They join the previously revealed acts SB19, BINI, IV Of Spades, Lolita Carbon, Yeng Constantino, and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, with more set to be announced in the coming days.

First officially announced last August 29, 2025, the first ever Filipino Music Awards is slated to be “the biggest and most prestigious celebration of Filipino music” in the Philippines, with the winners per award being “determined by both public voting and an esteemed panel of judges who will decide based on a combination of metric success and artistic excellence.” It is set to happen on October 21, 2025 (Tuesday) at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Presented by Modern Media Group Inc. — the media company behind world-renowned global titles Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, Nylon Manila, and Robb Report Philippines — and produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp, it will see in attendance “the nation’s most prominent artists, industry trailblazers, and passionate music fans for a historic evening that honors and recognizes the best and brightest of OPM.”
