Recently, renowned actor and musician Elijah Canlas has come out with his latest single entitled “Joseph K.” The gritty rap anthem was debuted on streaming platforms last Friday (September 5, 2025), and its music video was premiered on his official YouTube channel the day after.
Directed by award-winning cinematographer and director Dan Villegas, the music video is visually stunning, following the premise of a court session with Canlas himself acting as the defendant. As Elijah brings attention to the intricacies of the unjust justice system in both his lyricism and his acting, he features a star-studded cast of special guests like Benedix Ramos, Kokoy de Santos, and more.
Furthermore, in his caption announcing the music video, the actor-rapper wrote, “[I’m] forever grateful to all the beautiful souls who made this video possible and took some time out of their busy days to be part of this.” Watch the music video for “Joseph K.” below:
This marks Elijah’s first major musical release of the year, following his two singles “loved song” and “asar talo,” which were released in August and June of last year, respectively.
Elijah Canlas is an award-winning actor who made his debut as a musician under Island Records, a division of Universal Music Group Philippines. He has since released four singles, including “Joseph K.” Notably, he has starred in the music videos of hits today, like the chart-breaking “Multo” and The Juans’ heartbreak anthem “Ano Ba Talaga Tayo?“
