P-pop girl group DNA are reaching for the stars with “Between Bituin,” their official entry for Philippine Selection Night 2026.

Offering a powerful and motivational sound to the country’s race for Eurovision Song Contest Asia, the track was released on August 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM PHT alongside the 9 other competing songs. Accompanied by an official lyric video, “Between Bituin” arrives as a soaring reminder to keep believing in one’s dreams.

The title itself plays with the Filipino word “bituin” meaning star, turning it to a symbol for people who continue to reach for higher despite the challenges along the way. Lines such as “Keep up the faith / You’re doing great / Illuminate / Between bituin” reinforce the track’s message of perseverance, perfectly representing the Filipino people’s resilience.

Building in intensity, the song gradually rises from the pre-chorus before breaking into a synth-driven chorus. Vocals from DNA members Ezri, Julia, and Tasha blend into layered harmonies, complemented by energetic chants woven between the lines.

“Between Bituin” was composed by Jungee Mercado and produced alongside Thyro Alfaro, the acclaimed songwriter and producer behind defining hits including Sarah Geronimo‘s “Kilometro” and Sam Concepcion‘s “Dati.”

ABS-CBN first announced the Philippine Selection participants on August 11, 2026. DNA join fellow P-pop acts AJAA, VVINK, and WRIVE, alongside Filipino artists SAGA, Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, Lance Reblando, Nar Cabico, Jason Dy, Sassa Dagdag, Ryssi Avila, JM Dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano, KHIMO, and Carmelle.

Philippine Selection Night happens August 30, 2026 in Manila at 9:45 PM PHT. The winner will become the Philippines’ first Eurovision Asia representative and compete in Bangkok, Thailand on November 14, 2026.
