Today (July 29, 2025), it has been announced that Clara Benin is set to host a two-day concert entitled ‘Born On A Rainy Night: Celebrating 10 Years of Human Eyes and Riverchild,’ on October 3 and 4 at the Manila Metropolitan Theater. Presented by minsan studio, the special show reimagines Clara’s early work with a 30-piece orchestra, under the musical direction and arrangement of Ria Villena-Osorio.
In an official press release, Clara shares “Human Eyes and Riverchild both came out in 2015, which was ten years ago now, and that honestly feels surreal to say out loud. To celebrate, I’m working on a special concert with minsan studio where I’ll be performing songs from those records, but reimagined with an orchestra. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing, and getting to do it for this show makes it even more meaningful.”
In 2014, Clara Benin made her official debut with the ten-track album Human Eyes, and followed this up with an EP in 2015 titled Riverchild. These two records contain some of Clara’s defining work like “Tila,” “Closure,” among others.
Benin’s latest work, on the other hand, is the deluxe version of her sophomore album befriending my tears that was released in November 29, 2024. Following this, the singer-songwriter performed at SXSW Sydney in Australia — find out more about it in an exclusive interview feature with Billboard Philippines here.
Tickets for the exciting show are priced at Php. 4,000 for Orchestra (center), Php. 3,500 for Orchestra (regular), Php. 3,300 for Orchestra Back (center), Php. 3,000 for Orchestra Back (regular), Php. 3,300 for Loge, Php. 2,500 for Balcony (center), and Php. 2,000 for Balcony (regular).
