Beloved dream pop act Cigarettes After Sex have just released their long-awaited third studio album, titled X’s.
The newly released record features a hazy sonic landscape that transports listeners to a dreamy, nostalgic journey through the highs and lows of love — almost reminiscent of a softcore ’70s film. Within its concise ten-track run, the record includes the previously released songs “Baby Blue Movie,” “Dark Vacay,” and the sensual lead single “Tejano Blue.”
X’s marks their latest musical endeavor following 2019’s Cry, which spawned the popular tracks “Heavenly” and “Touch.” The band’s eponymous debut album from 2017 birthed several hits, including “Apocalypse” (which has amassed over a billion streams on Spotify alone), “K.,” and “Sweet,” among others.
Just recently, the band announced their upcoming visit to the Philippines as part of their X’s World Tour. Their one-night-only show marks their second time performing in Manila following their 2018 concert, and is scheduled to take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 14, 2025. Tickets to the show are available for purchase here.
In an exclusive interview with Billboard Philippines, lead singer Greg Gonzalez stated his excitement at their impending return to Manila. “It’s also so fun to think like, ‘Oh wow, we’re gonna be in Manila again!’ We had such a blast last time,” he shared. “I just feel lucky that touring is so fun and that it took us to many places.”
