Carly Rae Jepsen has made her long-awaited comeback with a brand new single titled “On Wires,” which serves as the first teaser off her upcoming double album, titled Day and Night.

The track was released today (June 26, 2026), and features the Canadian pop sensation embracing yet another new sonic palette. Veering into groovy ’70s-infused territory, the explosive chorus sees Jepsen belting an arena rock declaration of love that’s just as glorious as you’d expect.

Featuring production by Kyle Shearer and co-written by Shearer, Jepsen, and Nate Cyphert, the song was also accompanied by a music video directed by Caio Viera. Check it out in its entirety below:

“On Wires” marks the first single off of Day and Night, which is scheduled to be released on September 18, 2026, and is expected to feature a total of 24 tracks. Though the tracklist has not been officially revealed, it was mentioned that each side will feature twelve tracks to correspond with their day and night themes.

Day and Night marks the highly anticipated follow-up to Jepsen’s pair of albums, The Loneliest Time and The Loveliest Time, which were released back in 2022 and 2023. The albums each mark the A and B sides of Jepsen’s emotional journey in the process of the recording, and follow her habit of releasing double-sided records (as seen with both Dedicated and Emotion).
