BINI have just released an official statement addressing their recent controversy.

The official statement was posted on the P-pop group’s official social media channels, taking accountability for what was presented in the viral leaked video that has been circulating online. “We know that the past couple of days have been triggering and disappointing for all of you. Sincerely, we understand where all of those feelings are coming from,” said their latest post, signed by all members of the group. “Nagkamali kami [We made a mistake],” they continued.

We know that the past couple of days have been triggering and disappointing for all of you. Sincerely, we understand where all of those feelings are coming from.

The video shows a private moment of us with friends. We definitely did not intend to hurt anyone in the process. We offer no excuse for our actions, reactions, and choice of words. We take full accountability.

Nagkamali kami.

We deeply regret our mistake and sincerely apologize to our Blooms, friends, families, and the general public.

We humbly ask for a chance to reflect on and learn from our mistakes and continue to work on becoming better versions of ourselves.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong malasakit, suporta, at pang-unawa.

News of the controversy broke across social media yesterday (May 7, 2025), which coincided with the graduation of members Jhoanna and Gwen from senior high school. The surrounding issue centered on a leaked video post that was posted anonymously, which showed members of the group making inappropriate comments. The video drew widespread discourse across several online platforms –– with mixed to negative reactions coming from the group’s fans and the general public.

It was also today wherein BINI was supposed to host a send-off party through a live stream event on their BINI Global subscription service, as well as on Star Music and the group’s official social media platforms. The event was set to celebrate the upcoming commencement of BINI’s forthcoming World Tour, which is set to take place across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

No other information was provided as to whether or not BINI will reschedule their live stream party event.
