On Saturday (July 19, 2025), it was announced that the Aces of P-pop, BGYO, are set to hold their first-ever solo concert at the New Frontier Theater, Cubao this October 4.
In an official press release, the group’s main vocalist JL shared the group’s sentiment behind the upcoming concert, “Kinakabahan kaming lima kasi first solo concert namin ito pero excited din at the same time to showcase yung natutunan namin through the years at kung sino ang BGYO ngayon.” (The five of us are nervous because it’s our first solo concert, but we’re excited at the same time to showcase what we’ve learned throughout the years and who BGYO is right now.)
BGYO were previously selected to be part of the Billboard Philippines’ P-pop Rising Class of 2025. Bearing the torch for the upcoming generation of the genre, the group’s leader, Gelo, opened up about their journey thus far on an episode of Billboard Philippines’ Volumes, “Sa buong career namin bilang P-pop, masasabi ko talaga na overwhelming siya kasi isa sa pagde-define ng para mabuo ‘yung definition na P-pop ay kung saan siya patungo.” (“Throughout our entire career as P-pop idols, I would really say that it has been overwhelming because one of the defining factors of P-pop is where it’s headed.”)
In related news, the group recently came out with the single “All These Ladies” on June 19, 2025. This follows their recently-released self-titled EP that was debuted on March 13 of this year.
