February 25, 2026 officially marks 40 years since the EDSA People Power Revolution brought about the return of democracy to the Philippines and the end of a 20-year dictatorial rule by former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr. With this comes the yearly celebration and remembrance of this momentous nonviolent revolution, which, over the years, has included similar demonstrations by the Filipino people, calls for accountability from the current administration, online forums, performances from various artists, and more.
Among those performing in Metro Manila on this year’s anniversary are Ben&Ben and Ebe Dancel. The two Filipino acts, who are also Alay Kapwa Youth Ambassadors, are set to take the stage at The People’s Power — an event serving as the relaunch of the youth-focused debate show YSpeak, dubbed YSpeak 2.0. Alongside them, other special guest artists at the event are set to join the event, which will be held at Eton Centris in Quezon City, starting at 7:00 PM.
Notably, these performance follows ‘People Power 40 Sa QC: Awit At Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon’ — a preliminary concert ahead of the EDSA People Power Revolution’s 40th anniversary, held last February 21, 2026 at the Quezon Memorial Circle. Organized by Mayors For Good Governance and Kaya Natin! Movement For Good Governance And Ethical Leadership, it featured performances and appearances from Rivermaya, Ebe Dancel, Morobeats, Ogie Alcasid, Ice Seguerra, Over October, Elmo and Arkin Magalona, Chelsea Alley, Madeline, Hey Moonshine, J Kris Dantes, Stonefree, Chloe Redondo, Crazy As Pinoy, TSN, DJ Jhaiho, Janno Gibbs, Ogie Diaz, Mama Loi, Pio Balbuena, Iza Calzado, Alex Calleja, and Bea Binene.
