Last night (February 19), local indie band Any Name’s Okay took to their official Instagram account to announce their upcoming single, “Cake,” which will be out on streaming platforms this coming February 26. To commemorate this release, the band is set to hold a launch party for this exciting new feature on February 28 at Mow’s, Quezon City.

Joining them for this launch party will be up-and-coming artists like SUYEN and ALYSON, along with the genre-fluid power duo, Ysanygo.

In an exclusive statement released to Billboard Philippines, Any Name’s Okay shared, “The band’s extremely excited to play the ‘Cake’ single launch because this is a track where we get to let out a lot of anger and resentment. It’s a tad far flung from what people are used to hearing from us, but it’s a way to test the waters of how far we can go on the album we’ve been writing towards.”

They added, “We are also playing with acts that are some of our favorites in the music scene right now — Suyen, ALYSON, and Ysanygo (fun fact: Ygo Ferraz produced our upcoming single ‘Cake’).” Paying tribute to their growth over the six years since their studio debut, they mentioned, “This track and the launch feels like one big labor of love, and a step in an interesting direction for the band.”

“Cake” follows their latest single drop, “Tabing-dagat” which was debuted on October 18 of last year.

Tickets for this launch party are priced at Php. 500 for the pre-sale rate, and Php. 600 for walk-ins. These tickets can be purchased through this form.
