Akon is set to make a highly anticipated return to the Philippines after 15 years for V1BE Manila 2024.

The five-time Grammy nominee, renowned for his global hits such as “Smack That,” “I Wanna Love You,” “Don’t Matter,” and “Right Now (Na Na Na),” is set to headline V1BE Manila this upcoming December 3, 2024, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Yet aside from Akon’s presence, the full lineup also boasts a diverse array of international and local talent –– including Filipino-American rapper Ez Mil, K-Pop star Lucas, as well as renowned local hip-hop artists such as SB19’s Pablo, Flow G, and Gloc-9. Other acts also scheduled to perform at V1BE include reggae-funk collective Chocolate Factory, contemporary hip-hop duo Legit Misfitz, and Dappest & adL.

Akon, who is currently on his ‘The Superfan Tour,’ last graced the Philippine stage during his 2009 Freedom World Tour, with his impending return to Manila is expected to be a highlight of the event for several of his fans.

V1BE Manila continues the tradition of L-Squared Productions V1BE event series, following their V1BE Booze and Arts Festival that took place in Cebu late last 2023. The festival featured some of the biggest names in the OPM scene such as Rico Blanco, Urbandub, Zild, 6Cyclemind, Shanti Dope, and more –– though this year’s concert promises to bridge some of the most prolific local and international acts under one roof to celebrate the artistry of good music.

Tickets for the event are scheduled to be made available for sale via SM Tickets later this September 29, 2024, at noon, with prices ranging from Php 4,500 (Gen Ad), Php 6,500 (Upper Box), Php 9,500 (Lower Box Regular), Php 10,500 (Lower Box Premium), Php 13,500 (VIP Standing), and Php 15,000 (VIP Royalty).
